II. HOTS Briefly explain the answer the King got to his three questions. Making these answers your base, comment on the importance of the present moment in our life. (About 80-100 words)
Answer: The moral of the story is to make us understand the importance of the present moment. The first question asks what is the right time to do anything. The answer is when you have the power to do certain work. The next question asked was about who is the right person to the King. The right answer to the question is the person with whom we are dealing at a particular time. The third and final question is, what is the most important thing to do? The correct answer to this is to do good work in the service of humanity. As a student, the correct answers to these questions will be the most important thing in my life is when I am studying at home or in school. The most important people in my life currently are my parents, teachers and anyone who guides me in the right direction. The most important thing to do is give my best in my studies and live up to my parents and teachers’ expectations.
III. Life Skills’ Knowledge gained through experience is far superior to and many times more useful than theoretical knowledge.’ Discuss the above statement in the light of the fact that the hermit did not answer the King’s questions as soon as they were put to them.
Answer: Knowledge gained through experience is considered more superior to knowledge gained through theoretical learning. Most of the time, even if someone knows about a particular thing or object, they can’t operate it due to a lack of practical experience. For example, we read about computers and their different applications in our books. But if we never get the opportunity to use it in real life, our theoretical knowledge won’t work at all. The knowledge gained through real life experience lasts for longer in our minds. Whereas things that are only read tend to be forgotten after a certain period. This is the reason the hermit did not answer the King’s questions as soon as they were put to them. He wanted the King to get the answers from experience.
